Empty Nester

🌿 EMPTY NESTER — A NEW SEASON

He hath made everything beautiful in His time. Ecclesiastes 3:11

The nest may be quieter…
but life is far from empty. ❤️

There is a beautiful newfound freedom in this season—more time, more space, and finally, a little more room to simply be me.

🌅 Watching sunrises and sunsets.
🎨 Watercolour painting and creating.
🚶‍♀️ Taking quiet walks.
🙏 Spending unhurried moments with God.
💛 Learning to simply BE—not always DO.

And surprisingly, this quieter life feels incredibly full.

Full of peace.
Full of gratitude.
Full of wonder.
Full of God.

When God reaches the deepest places of our hearts, something changes. We begin to realise that fulfilment isn’t always found in doing more—but in noticing more, receiving more, and loving more deeply.

And then comes the wonderful bonus…

👶 Grandparenting!

Tiny smiles. Little hands. Innocent laughter. Simple moments that somehow fill the whole heart.

What joy! What wonder! What a reminder that some of life’s greatest treasures come in the smallest packages. ❤️

Family gives us a little glimpse of heaven on earth—a place to love and be loved, to belong and help others belong.

And beyond home, I am grateful that meaningful work gives me another community—a second family where I can continue serving, contributing and walking alongside people every day.

Perhaps an empty nest isn’t really about emptiness at all.

It is about making room.

🌿 Room for God.
🌿 Room for myself.
🌿 Room for grandchildren.
🌿 Room for family and community.
🌿 Room for a new purpose in a new season.

Less rushing. More noticing.
Less proving. More being.
Less clutter. More wonder.

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing. Psalm 92:14

The nest may be quieter, but the heart can become fuller than ever.
