I am not WORTHY?

I am not WORTHY?

❤️ “I AM NOT WORTHY OF LOVE.”

I am not WORTHY?

❤️ “I AM NOT WORTHY OF LOVE.”

But where did that belief come from?

Sometimes, the wound begins before we even have words.

An unplanned pregnancy.
A mother carrying her own wounds.
A father emotionally or physically absent.
Parents overwhelmed by survival, work and responsibilities.

And sometimes, the eldest child quietly becomes the “responsible one.”

The helper.
The peacemaker.
The role model.
The child who grows up too soon.

Instead of simply being a child, she carries burdens that were never hers to carry.

When things go wrong, she may even become the one who is blamed, shamed or scapegoated.

Slowly, a painful belief takes root:

“I am not good enough.”
“I am not important.”
“I must earn love.”
“Maybe I am not worthy of being loved.”

And when wounds remain unhealed, they can travel quietly from one generation to another.

But healing can interrupt the cycle. 🌱

Sometimes forgiveness begins as a decision.

But emotional forgiveness may come much later—through tears, grief, anger and finally finding words for what could never be spoken:

“You hurt me.”
“What happened to me was wrong.”
“I did not deserve this.”
“This burden belongs to you, not me.”
“I will not carry it anymore.”

Then come the tears.

Not tears of weakness, but the grief of finally being seen, heard and validated.

Sometimes there are no more words—only wailing, silence and the safe presence of another who stays.

A compassionate, “good-enough father” presence holds the suffering without trying to fix it.

Until the crying softens.

Until the body begins to release what it has carried for years.

Until the wounded child begins to discover:

❤️ I was wronged, but I am not wrong.
❤️ I was rejected, but I am not unworthy.
❤️ I was not loved well, but I am lovable.
❤️ I can return what was never mine to carry.

Healing does not rewrite the past.

It changes what the past is allowed to keep writing into our future.

The cycle can stop here.

I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of being seen.
I am worthy of being held.
And I no longer have to earn what I was always worthy of receiving. ❤️

I can also make this shorter and punchier for Facebook/Instagram, with the central theme “It Was Never Mine to Carry.”
